Historic River Plate Club Elections with Electronic Ballot System

Next Saturday, November 1st, Club Atlético River Plate will hold a historic election day where its members will elect the new authorities that will lead the institution for the next four years. This time, the Electronic Ballot System (BUE) will be implemented, a system that promises to speed up the process and ensure a clearer, simpler, and more secure voting process. The elections will take place from 10:00 to 20:00 at the club's facilities. The authorized access points will be through Figueroa Alcorta, Udaondo, or the internal parking lot. The voting system using the Electronic Ballot will work in five steps: first, the DNI is presented to the polling station president to receive the ballot; then it is inserted into the printer and the list is chosen on the touchscreen; once the selection is confirmed, the ballot is printed; the printed vote can be verified; and finally, the folded ballot is deposited in the ballot box, with the voter signing the roll to complete the process. Members must elect the members of the Direct Committee, the Auditing Committee, and the Members' Representatives. Those who attend will be able to enjoy a series of additional benefits and services: there will be two hours of free parking at the Figueroa Alcorta entrance, and the River Museum will open its doors for free from 10:00 to 18:00 (with a physical DNI in hand). In addition, the River Foundation will organize a recreational space for children with games and inflatables in the plaza adjacent to the internal parking lot and the handball court, designed so that families can participate with greater comfort. To be able to cast a vote, it is mandatory to present a physical DNI, the only valid document to prove identity and enter the club. In total, five lists will compete: List 1 – River Primero, headed by Luis Belli. List 2 – Filosofía River, led by Stefano Di Carlo. List 3 – Ficha Limpia en River, with Pablo Lunati as a candidate for president. List 4 – River Somos Todos, with Carlos Trillo at the helm. List 5 – River Campeón Deportivo y Social, headed by Daniel Kiper. In this way, River will experience a key day not only due to the institutional importance of the democratic act, but also because of the incorporation of a modern voting method that seeks to reinforce the transparency and participation of the entire River Plate community. Active members over 16 years of age with at least three years of uninterrupted seniority as of October 31, 2025, and with the social fee for September 2025 paid up to the day of the election are eligible to vote. Those with a debt can regularize it on the same day of the election through RiverID.
